How-To: Games (Ishan)

Hello! This will be a step-to-step direction on how to prepare the games for Luke’s 6th birthday party. We will set-up a total of two games for each invitee to attend to. They will relate to the main theme of soccer and Spiderman. The games will be supplied by Funtastic Party Crew (FPC)©. We hope Luke and his friends enjoy them.

First Game- Break the Bricks
The equipment needed to play this game is very easy to get because FPC© will provide it. Some of the items can be substituted but using the items stated will provide maximum fun. You will need a soccer ball, stacking blocks, a rope roll, paper to write score, and obviously a player. Please follow the following steps to learn how to play the game.

Instructions:

  1. Place a rope before an open area. The area should be around 8 ft. by 13 ft. Place it in a straight line horizontally. The open field will be necessary to spread the stacking blocks. The rope will ensure no one cheats by going to close to the blocks.
  2. Place another, shorter(about 6 inches) rope in the center of the long rope. Place the stacking blocks in the open area in a line perpendicular to the rope. The stacking blocks should be 3 blocks high. Put all the pieces together so they are touching.
  3. Put the soccer ball on the short rope. Have a first player stand behind the ball. The first player should be facing the open area. The soccer ball will be the object used to try to take down the blocks. The first player will get to put the ball anywhere behind the rope.
  4. Each person gets 3 tries. They have to try to kick the ball towards the blocks and see how much they can knock down. After the 3 tries, the highest score is written down. The game ends when all players have gone. The person that made the most blocks fall, wins. They win a prize.
  5. The field should look like this if set correctly:
If the game is prepared and played correctly, you should get a result of the following. First, you should have the field set up as the picture shows above. Next, when you kick at the blocks, they should fall. Finally, the stacked blocks should be touching each other. If you put everything together, the game should equal a lot of fun.

Second Game- Blind Goal
The materials needed for this game is very little. All you need is the soccer ball, a rope to mark the shooting spot, a paper to keep track of score, and a goal which will again be provided by Funtastic Party Crew©. Also, a blindfold will be put on the player trying to shoot the goal. This will hopefully be a fun and mildly challenging game. Here are the instructions on setting up and playing this game.

Instructions:
  1. The goal will be set in an area about 25 ft. long. Place the goal at the end of the area you decide to play in. Make the goal’s open part(front) face the field.
  2. Measure 20 feet from the front of the goal. Place the rope vertically on the ground at the 20 ft. mark. This will be the closest the player can go to the goal.
  3. Take turns putting the blindfold on a person that wants to try their luck in the game. Before you put the blindfold on them, let them decide a place to put the ball before the rope.
  4. Once the blindfold is on them, have them go up to the rope. They will try to shoot the ball into the goal. Let the player get three chances. On the paper, record how many times they got it in.
  5. At the end of the game, check who got the most goals. That is the person who won. They will receive a prize.
  6. The way the field should look when set up:

If this game is played correctly, the field should something like the picture above. If not, exactly the same (besides the color). Like the previous game, this will be maximized fun if you follow the steps exactly. I wish Luke a happy birthday and hope the games make the party enjoyable.
